A.M. Drive east of Addis Ababa to Bishoftu and turn right to the west of it. You will manage to see mount Ziqualla which is located at about 73kms from Addis Ababa. The height of the mountain is 2989m above sea level. It takes 2 hours to reach to the top of the Mountain by foot & 30miniutes by car. There is a church of Abune Gebre Menfes Kidus at which beg celebration takes place every year on 15th October and14th March. There is a Crater Lake on the top of the mountain where people belive it cleanses of sin if splashed on body.There is also Judgement rock where people get confirmation that they are sin full or not.

You drive south west of Addis to the Archaeological site of Tiya & Adadi Mariam. On the way you will have a chance to visit the country side and in particular the Gurage people. Since 1965, from October to January each year, geologists and archaeologists have been camping by the Awash River at this point, because two millions years ago at the entrance to the Gorge lived some of the earliest ancestors of mankind. They left tools, traces of meals and shelters behind which are now the focus of archaeological interest. You will be visiting this site and you will be back to Addis Ababa. A.M, drive to west of Addis Ababa to Ambo, passing the Gefersa Dam, situated between hills and valleys to some 22 km west of Addis Ababa. At 55kms you will reach the town of Addis Alem. You stop here to visit the church of Debre Tsion Mariam. It is one of the prominent historic churches. Indian and American architects originally built the church as a palace for Emperor Menilik II. Later on the Emperor along with gifts and articles of historical significance, converted to a Church. Then after you continue to Ambo town situated 125 Kms west of Addis Ababa. Ambo is famous for its hot springs and mineral water. Proceed to the picturesque Lake Wanchi 25 km south west of Ambo. You will cross the lake on small boat to visit the nearby church of Kirkos and spend some time around the lake. Then drive back to Addis via Woliso. Overnight Ghion Hotel or Similar.

A,M you drive 100 kms to North of Addis Ababa, a right hand leads to the Jemma Valley. This is the beginning of the true gorge country for which the central highlands are renowned. A breathtaking view over chasms with a depth of 2000 feet. It is worth to spend some time. On the escarpments the endemic Gelada baboon can be seen easily and visit the 13th century monastery of Debre Libanos and proceed to the Blue Nile Gorge. There is a magnificent view where most visitors compared it with the Grand Canyon of Arizona. Late afternoon you drive back to Addis Ababa. Overnight Ghion Hotel or Similar.
